Allison and Charisma (who has none) travel to Charisma's parents cabin for the weekend. It's not clear why. The DVD box states Charisma returns to look into her sisters disappearance. But since all they do is argue on the drive and hike in the woods, that doesn't appear to be the case. Plus if the only way you know the plot is through the box rather than the film, you've got a problem.
Charisma's sister disappeared when they were kids. She thinks her sister ran away, but there are tons of flyers for missing young women plastered in the towns gas station and the locals think a cult is kidnapping girls in the area.
If the first forty minutes of the film are an exercise in making us hate Allison, then well played. If not, then what the hell is wrong with Allison? Her behavior is abnormal right from the start and she's always flipping out about everything. When they stopped at the gas station she freaked out when she thought Charisma was flirting with a guy. Turns out she was just talking to someone she knew who used to date her sister. Allison is freaking nuts and those pills she takes to relax aren't helping. So when they go for a hike and Allison drops her crazy pills on top of the mountain, you know this isn't going to end well.
Aside from nutzo Allison giving Charisma grief, there's also a creepy old guy who they think might be after them, or perhaps is the responsible for the missing girls. They discover he's a fish and game warden, but Allison freaks asking why he has a picture of Charisma's sister. But the problem with this is it's not a picture, it's a missing person flyer. I hate her.
It's on a horror collection, but it's really more a thriller without any thrills. You know what was more interesting than this? Almost anything. But especially a show I saw on the Green River killer where they talked to the poor guys wife, who had no clue he was anything but a perfect husband. Now that was interesting.
