Tooth Fairy 5: Drill to Kill (2022)

After surviving the tooth fairy, Sammy is back at work as a teacher.  But sometimes she hears noises out in the hallway even after the kids have left for the day. She tells her therapist she feels like she’s being watched and she thinks the Tooth Fairy is back.  Sadly Sammy is right and she’s quickly dispatched by this weirdo.

Sammy’s sister, who is a teacher at the same school, comes back to work after some bereavement days.  The other teachers think work is a good distraction and decide to throw a party after hours.  Two of the teachers are more concerned with hooking up than being supportive and wander off. This is unfortunate since the Tooth Fairy is wandering the school and apparently hates teachers.

Another movie in which the Tooth Fairy wants to come in, someone sees her jacked up face, hears her odd way of speaking, and doesn’t question if there is something horribly wrong with her. The school security guard isn’t suspicious at all when she arrives after hours to pick up a child.  Her oversized melon and non-moving mouth should be red flags. It should also be a red flag if her child is not on the roster and she disappears.  Yet he leaves the building to look for her.

This movie is so frustrating and boring.  The party gives the Tooth Fairy some people to murder, but why is she targeting this school? Why does she hate teachers?  Why doesn’t anyone make an effort to fight her? She’s an escaped mental patient, not a supernatural being.  She moves slow and that huge head would be an easy target, but no one tries to fight.

And what’s up with Sammy’s legs? Last movie she had arm crutches which implies some sort of long term disability, but she’s walking fine in this movie. And if she’s freaked out about the Tooth Fairy, then why is she watching videos for at home dentistry which show how to perform tooth extractions on yourself?

Lastly how did this security guard get this job?  He has no peripheral vision. There is a freak on a scooter holding a hammer zooming up on him and he doesn’t even notice. What makes it worse is he went into the parking lot to look for her, yet never turned his head to the right.

Just a perfectly ordinary parent looking for their child
The security guard with the worst peripheral vision ever.
