What the kids don’t know is that ex-con and new loading dock worker Fred is living in the basement. The salesmen think he’s creepy, but John’s dad says he’s a good guy and needs a place to stay due to his break up. So while the kids are partying upstairs, Fred is in the basement eating leeks.
After doing some drinking, the kids decide to play hide and seek. The store has multiple floors so there are plenty of places to hide. I don’t know how they’d even find each other if they’re playing in the dark on three floors. They’ve made plans to eat at the same time, but one couple doesn’t show up. The other couples figure they’re making out. A search after dinner reveals they’ve been murdered.
Now they’re trapped in the building with a murderer. The doors are locked, the phone is dead, and there’s no way out. Plus John is really irritated that someone keeps messing with the manikins.
This is a fairly typical 80s slasher with teens going somewhere they shouldn’t be. There is a scene at the beginning where the killer murders a prostitute which is totally unnecessary and confusing based on the revelation for the killings.
Ridiculous dialogue
I swear to god this isn’t funny. I’m serious.
