Photojournalist Ola has been hired by a media company to cover the story of a mother and child who went missing. The mother was later found deceased but no sign of the child was ever found.
Ola asks journalist Linn to join him. Linn is known for covering good stories. She usually does her own research but Ola says he’s already done the work. They are joined by camera operator Yasmin, and soundman Joakin.
The group arrives in town and meets up with a driver to take them around. They decide to interview Michael, the missing child’s father. While there, their driver pulls their luggage out of the car and says she has to leave for an emergency.
Luckily Michael volunteers to take them to the spot where his fiancé was found. After shooting some footage of him at the spot, they head into the woods and spend two nights looking for signs of the missing girl.
While recording, Joakin hears something through the mic that no one else can hear. Later they find a creepy abandoned building which they decide to explore. They also find out Ola has been hiding that five people have gone missing in this area in the last seven years. Abandoned building in the woods with a creepy basement? People going missing? Driver abandoning them? It’s all adding up to a bad time for this group.
This was directed by Carl Sundström, who also did Documenting the Witch Path. Both movies are decent efforts.
